Two phono inputs, one ground screw

I've just gotten a Sansui 7070 in large part because I wanted two phono inputs, but it only has one ground screw. I assume it's totally fine to have both tables grounded on the same screw, but you can't spell "assume" without... well, you know.

Anyone mind confirming either my assumption or my paranoia?

Both wires to one screw is fine. If it were not, they probably would have had 2 screws.

Honestly, the only reason I asked in the first place is that I was very, very briefly the owner of a (flawed) Pioneer SX-1010 which had two phono inputs and two ground screws, which set the expectation for me that this is how it is done. Learn somethin' new every day.

2 screws are maybe more convenient but really they are just a connection to the receiver chassis anyway so you could in most cases use any metal cabinet screw on the back.

Yep. I use the housing screw to ground tables to my PAS3.

The Audio Research SP-3 preamp has a thumb screw on one of the transformer mounting bolts and that is the phono ground location. So as stated, any chassis screws that reach the metal chassis are just fine.

My Moscode doesn't even have a dedicated ground screw. You get one screw that also happens to be the screw that holds down that corner of the lid. Several of my more ancient bits of tube gear are that way too, you just loosen a screw on the rear of the chassis and stuff the ground lead under it.
