The title says it all. U47 and I have done two tube deals. Both were perfect!!

Edit 11/29/2024
Purchased an amp and step up transformer from U47 in early November via BT. Transformer arrived pretty quickly, but was poorly packed and damaged on three of the four bottom case corners. Still worked though. Basically the seller just put it in a box slightly larger than the transformer, stuffed a couple of pieces of paper around the sides and shipped it. It weighs 20 lb. Heavy items like that have to be packed well to survive the trip undamaged.

The amp is a whole nother story. Seller shipped it to Oregon. I live in MS. Luckily he shipped it to someone he knew. I got this Oregon person's box of CDs instead of the amp. The Oregon person reshipped the amp to me and I shipped the box of CDs to him at the seller's expense. Amp arrived today (11/29/2024) undamaged, it was well packed.

Back in time a little bit, after receiving the box of CDs instead of an amp, asked the seller to call me. He did. Told him I got CDs and not an amp. He didn't know what happened at the time. I mentioned that hoped he packed the amp better than the transformer. His response was, "I didn't give a **** about that transformer, it is worthless.". New ones still sell in the $115-150 range, so not worthless and a must have for the 220V amp it supplies power to.

And there you have it. Buyer beware!!

Updated. See edit above.

Should have added.............this is another Bartertown seller that refused payment via PayPal Goods & Services. I offered to gross up the payment amount to cover the PP fees to make the purchase via G&S route, but that was rejected. Paid instead via PP F&F but used a credit card to fund the payment, which means I paid the fees to PayPal (same % as G&S) instead of the seller. Small fee to pay to have the backing of my credit card company if the purchase went wrong.........like it very much appeared it was going to go that way.
