Ultrasonic record cleaner question....

38deg. C has often been called the "sweet spot." I have excellent results at 42deg. C, considering heat, up to a point, is your friend with US cleaning.....

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOUR THERMOMETER IS ACCURATE. TRY SEVERAL BEFORE TRUSTING ANY ONE.

Lucky for you the new one you bought is preset for 35C. I don't use it myself, but it's always there for the really dirty stuff.
I’ve used the heater on my Isonic every time so far and I check it with a digital meat thermometer. It hasn’t exceeded 30.1 C yet. Did an ice water calibration in case the device was way off but it was within less than half a degree C.

Based on the cleaning effectiveness I’ve seen so far I’m not concerned about needing a higher temp. You will get more activity at higher temps maybe shorten bath dwell time. I see no reason to run higher than 40 C myself from anecdotal evidence.

We should have an Isonic user thread to compare notes. There are so many perturbations of tanks peeps are using it’d be good for building useful base of knowledge/success/failures on a common machine config.
