Today we had one of those days where you don't really have anything to do, so we were just lazing around the house, looking at AK, CL, watching tv. I decided to look at the "free" listings on CL, just for giggles. (It's amazing some of the stuff people will give away for free just to have it be gone) It's also amazing the stuff people THINK someone else wants, i.e. "free brush for kindling! You clear it and haul it and it's YOURS!!!"
Well i see an ad... Reel to Reel tapes, Free!
Um, ok, I like tape and it is expensive, I wonder how many this guy has to part with. Click on the ad, THERE ARE OVER 300 TAPES.... most in great shape....FREE!

The tapes took up the whole trunk and backseat stacked 3 ft. high. All it cost was a 50 mile round trip,( less than a quarter tank of gas) and we spent $55 on dinner on the way home... we had to celebrate.
Most of these have stuff on them, some classic rock, classical, local recordings from the 60s and 70s, there is also a TON of jazz, and lots of high school music classes and bands. Supposedly, the guy was a music teacher.
We are still stunned.
As I said, we don't even really know where to put it all...
