Unbranded surprise...can anyone identify make model?

Picked these up at GW today. Nice looking, vintage, but no markings. So I asked for a screwdiver to open the back. If anyone can identify these from the single pic above I'll follow up with one of the innards.

They look a little like some EV speakers I had years ago. They were plywood, and a fairly wide bezel. Early EV Four or of that ilk? Would be good to take a look inside.
