I've got a pair of old University Mustangs that the voice coil is seized and the accordion surround it petrified. I'd prefer to recone them rather than attempt to attach a new voice coil, spider and surround to the old cones. I emailed Midwest and Springfield speaker to see if they either had or could make a recone kit for them but does anyone have any suggestions as to who might sell 8" cone kits. And has anyone ever done a Mustang speaker. It looks like they'd be a pain vs doing a pro audio type recone which I've have done.
