NOT identical... I bought them.
I too had been looking at those speakers for a couple of months. I was concerned about the mismatched cabs etc. and didn't think the sound would balance, making them very uncertain for resale. I wanted them for resale but couldn't justify the price.
Finally I noticed another ad he had running for other speakers and I asked him what those vintage tweed grills were NEXT TO the speakers he was offering in that ad, not knowing it was the same guy. He let me know it was the long-running University's,asking what I'd pay, so I told him I'd be interested in the $2-300 range, that his asking price was way beyond my target price, letting him know I was a dealer.
To my surprise (he was then asking 'only' $600) he came back and said I'd own them for $300 and he would even throw in ANOTHER University speaker (S1, Jensen drivers). So I loaded up the truck and headed over to Tucson from San Diego to enjoy the Superbowl with my Dad, picking up the U's in nearby Green Valley.
To my surprise, the entire outside speaker surfaces, sans the grills, were covered by dark brown wood colored FORMICA (ugh!!). Next, BOTH the woofers need surrounds at minimum and likely a recone for at least one of them. The hot arid Arizona climate had dried and stiffened the cloth surrounds and they were completely severed all the around the cone edges on BOTH woofers. The woofers did match, C15W's in both, but different colors.
The cabs? 165 lbs. and 210 lbs. respectively... The seller told me they were a $20 thrift store find. Too funny.
The mid-horns both have different horns and drivers, as do the tweets. Oh well. I knew that after just seeing the photos. We settled on $200 and off I went to enjoy the Superbowl with Dad. Had I not driven so far I'd have simply left without the units, had he not come down in price; I didn't want to go home with an empty truck. The woofs will head to the shop for freshening and the cabs cleaned up while awaiting their return. Then they'll head into the house for some real enjoyment before sending them to Korea or wherever they'll end up. They DO present themselves well, huge vintage appearance and warm rich sound, even with the damaged woof surrounds...
I'm looking forward to putting them into service on the home front. They may just have to live in my living room for a while, if they don't bring a price that will convince me to part with them.
