Unknown concave textile dome tweeter?

Hello people!!
Sorry, I do not have any pics.....the tweeter is already in the speakers.
They are VERY well built with a replaceable voice coil ....a medium-sized round magnet....and the numbers 327 on the back.
Xover at 2500hz, they are extremely detailed, no roll-off with these....but no sizzle either........NICE!!
Any idea WHO made them?

Epicure maybe, depending on how old they are. I do know of a guy who makes replacement tweeters for old Epicure designs. Google 'Epicure'.
 
They aren't Epicure.
I have a few spare sets of Epicure tweeters at home.
Similar in design though.

Some years back, Parts Express and/or MCM sold some pretty high-end concave tweeters. I think the mfgr. was German, and they were quite pricey.

Why an inverted dome? That would have a significantly narrower dispertion pattern, which is why I'd use a dome in the first place, to get away from the narrow dispertion of say a cone.
 
The object isn't necessarily the WIDEST dispersion... it's UNIFORM dispersion, over the area it covers (vs. frequency).

Inverted domes can oftentimes do this, very well. And the slightly narrower dispersion can actually HELP in many homes... you avoid spraying the walls, ceiling and floor with reflective high frequency output. Can result in a more coherent sound, with more stable imaging...

If the fabric is yellow, that would suggest to me one of Focal's Kevlar tweeters. I think they also made them out of silk, which would be black or grey. The EPI tweeters are made of phenolic, I think, but are sort of an orangey brown.
 
And not rolled off would also suggest Focal -- some of their tweeters have a pretty severe peak in the high end. Probably not audible usually, but when it is, you can shave with it. Careful amplifier matching is crucial. But you seem to have lucked out, and have both good extension and smoothness.
