Unknown speakers on CL..

[Harmonica]

Saw these on CL but the seller doesn't have any idea of what they are, anyone venture a guess? Only the one picture which doesn't say much but the grills are pretty unique looking.

I might just go out and take a look at/listen to them for S's and G's plus $10 is pretty close to free :scratch2:

[OLDTIMESOUND]

they look like zenith/fisher/panasonic. if the speaker wires are part of the speaker, thats not a good thing.

[vinyldavid]

They're POS, single driver (NOT the good kind) all-in-one system speakers.

[Harmonica]

Oh I didn't even pay attention to the wire coming out the back, I just assumed it wasn't apart of the speaker.

Maybe I shouldn't surf CL at 3am, fatigue seems to have bested me :screwy:

Thanks for pointing that out. :thmbsp:

[jhal]

The look like they were part of a mid 70's "all-in-one". Think Radio Shack Clarinette, but different brand.

[dirkmc3]

look like old jensen's

So I take it you've had a pair...?

[avguytx]

Of course he has....

I am thinking Superscope compact/all-in-one.

[Rybeam]

Sony's

definitely.

Sony Superscope.

I remember the brochure.

And even that was cheap.

I recently gave away a pair of very similar speakers. Didn't have a nametag, but the thing was light enough to lift up with one finger...had a 4" woofer run fullrange and a speaker from a transistor radio for a tweeter.

[clydeselsor]

Maybe from the cheap Capehart line from the late 70's...
