Hello, was wondering if someone had some info on these speakers, ( see pictures) got them at an estate sale along with a receiver and Turntable . Had to purchase the whole system, which has been together for 50 years ( receiver from 1973 or so)
I don’t know much about speakers, in fact not sure how to open these with out damaging the cloth.
If any one could tell me how to open these speaker would be much appreciated, maybe get some additional info on the speakers.

The only ID on the speakers in the number “12”

Thank you

If your GranSonic looks like this different GranSonic then they are more then likely companion speakers, an all in package type of set up

Thank you for the input,
I was told it was bought as a system, and I purchased the whole system from them 50years later. GranSonic Gs-2 ( Monarch SAT-260XS)was the receiver along with a Olympic * track and a Gerald TT

I think there are from Creative speakers, as similar back to model 77, is there such thing as Creative Model 12? :)

Interested in knowing how to correctly remove the face cloth from these vintage speakers , and reinstall after inspecting the the W & T

Looking at the speakers again it seems the grill cloth is attached to a grill which I'm assuming is velcroed to the cabinet.

See if you can jimmy a metal clothes hanger to form a bend at the end similar to a hook and insert between grill and cab and gently pull back.

Or try a 1" putty knife as they are stiff enough not to flex. There are some dental tools too that may get behind the grill to pull it back. That being said, don't get your hopes up too high as that RCA connection is not a mark of excellence....

" that RCA connection is not a mark of excellence...." And it is not a sign of mediocre either! Plenty of older Speakers had that as an option as well:)

The putty knife idea worked, the grill was glued and tacked on.
The T&W were screened and glued on, removed the screws but the T&W would not budge.
Decided not to force it, so cleaned it up and pulled grill back on.
Did not expect much, but was curious.
The only clues to speaker identity is the connection arrangement and the number “12” on the unit.
The speaker is 15” tall
Well the wood housing is very nice.IMG_2526.jpegIMG_2525.jpeg
Here are the pictures, thanks again
