Unusual and Interesting Sansui Speakers, New London CT CL

Some one in Hebron is offering an odd pair of Sansui speakers -- 8 inch two ways with two tweeters unbaffled, perhaps firing front and back, sort of a poor man's DQ10, but with fretwork grill! Bought in Korea apparently. 50 bucks on New London/Eastern CT CL.

For fifty bucks, someone local to them should grab 'em, just to hear what they sound like! Higher WAF than most speakers, and with that construction, probably better sound than most of the similar vintage speakers.

Even if they don't sound so good, you could always upgrade the woofer and install a Heil AMT in the tweeter area (if there is room; otherwise, back-to-back EMITs or something else like that), and create a great-looking, great-sounding speaker. Do it carefully, and it will be reversible, to preserve any historical or "collectible" value.

Hmm: misunderstood the double woofer single tweeter -- thought it was the reverse. And misinterpreted the picture also -- didn't see the conical diffuser hanging down.
Actually makes it even neater.
