All roads lead to music
I never thought I would be sitting here in 2016, in my 60s, and see these artists listed in the paper for local concerts this summer (in order of appearance):
Steely Dan
Steve Winwood
The Monkees
Boston
Emmylou Harris
Boz Scaggs
James Taylor
Dolly Parton
Willie Nelson
"Weird Al" Yankovic
Pat Benatar
Steve Miller Band
Journey
Doobie Brothers
Jackson Browne
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Heart
Joan Jett
Cheap Trick
Blondie
Black Sabbath
Def Leppard
REO Speedwagon
Of course, many of the original members have moved on, some to the big concert hall in the sky. Skynyrd only has Rossington left. But still, this is amazing. Will this be the peak season for time travel to music past?
