A few replied to my issue of a hot resistor in Stromberg Carlson SR-406
Was hotter than any of the tubes and had damaged some wires
Still got the heat ...... here is how it has been handled

Thanks for the prior comments and suggestions
Installed a lot more 25 watt resistors to replace the single (hot) 1000 ohm x 2 resistor and installed heat sink
Here are the new resistor stacks - each resistor is 25 watt ...... still approx 2 x 1000 ohm
Replaces the single green resistor here
Added a heat sink for the new resistors
