Upgrades to the U-Turn Orbit

Just placed my order for this guy! It's going to be a long 5 weeks. The only upgrade I made was cart to the AT95E.
 
On my U-Turn I ran:

Acrylic platter
A cork mat (not the one U-turn sells)
3' Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 low capacitance cables (those 6' cables U-turn gives you are seriously chintzy)
A Shure M91ED with a JICO SAS stylus.

Sounded good.

Your upper limit for cartridge weight on the U-turn is about 6 grams. Any more than that and you're going to need to add weight to the tonearm. The Shure is about 5.9 I think and I couldn't get the JICO to it's optimal tracking weight of 1.25g, it was just over 1.3g.
 
Mine should be arriving this coming Monday.

Ordered 6th November, and left U Turn this past Monday. A full week to ship to Western Canada.
 
There was no mention of a lead time, but I did read on the FB page that it was around 3 to 4 weeks, which has been my time line.

I do know that the cut off date for deliveries before Xmas was November 29th. Orders placed after this date will arrive in the new year.

I only knew my TT was on the way when I received a shipping notice from UPS. Nothing from U Turn at all, and there is no indication on the email from UPS what the shipment is. Had to click the link to find out what it was.

Thanks. Mine said estimated 4-5 weeks when I ordered. Sounds like yours took around that time to ship. Enjoy!
