Used Denon DP-37F...good buy?

I'd go for it if I was in the market for one. Sounds like the seller knows what he/she is doing and what's done is worth a couple hundred $$ in service.

That's a nice turntable....picked mine up for $30.00 at the local thrift....right place at the right time & it runs fine!
With all that works that's been done.....go for it!

I would jump at that opportunity!! It's been recapped and that alone makes it well worth the price. GET IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!

I used to have a DP-37. It's a nice turntable. About the only difference between that and the higher Denon models is the plastic base. The arm and innards seem to be the same.

Thanks for all the replies! How would this compare to a Technics SL-D2 in sound quality? There is also one of those available around the same area for slightly less (asking $179, could probably talk down some).

The wow & flutter look better on the Denon, but the rumble seems way different (unless there is a typo):

Also, how would this compare to the Pro-Ject Carbon with the Ortofon 2M Red and the Speedbox (another on CL...not full price...$325)? I hear the AT cart is nice, but I'm really new to this...want to get the best bang for my buck. You guys are awesome, thanks for the replies/help.
