Using an Amplifier, Marantz 2330

Hello, I'm looking at getting a Marantz 2330 and there's a question that I have. With the speakers I just got I'm afraid that I need some power to really drive the speakers (100W+). My question is.... If I get an external amplifier for the 2330 and only use the preamp within the 2330, am I taking away from the inherent 2330 sound quality that everyone raves about? If this is the case, I'll be leaning towards a 2325 or Sansui 9090 for the power (I think). Thanks in advance for all of the input.

Yes, you could separate the preamp and use another amp. Yes, it would change the sound. If a 2325 is an option, that's the way to go. No need for another preamp. 2325 is my main unit, and it sounds great.
