Using C47 unbalanced

Hi all, I have a Sony XA5400es sacd player hooked up to the C47 via unbalanced. I'm curious, which dac is being used, is it the Sony's or the C47? If it's the former will using the balanced XLR use the C47's dac? I would prefer to use the dac in the C47.

Thanks

If you have your sacd player connected to the rca jacks, you're using the sacd player's dac. Same thing if you're connecting with xlr.

To use the C47 internal dac, connect the sacd player's optical or coax output to the optical or coax input on the C47. Note that when playing an sacd disc there is no digital output from the player, only analog.
