I found an amazing deal on these speakers at an estate sale yesterday. They are Utah Celesta 12" triaxial's. I guess these are "3 ways". They are in very well made maple cabinets with the grills bolted on from the inside. The cabinets themselves have no markings of any kind on them. They are 24" high, 15 1/2" wide, and 11" deep. The backs screw off to reveal the single Utah speakers. The insides are well braced and all inside surfaces are well insulated. They are ported cabinets, and the sound is surprisingly good. I don't believe the cabinets are home made, unless the individual was a professional woodworker. The fit and finish is near perfect, and the cabinet panels are 7/8" thick. Has anyone seen this particular model before? What are your opinions on the Utah Celesta speakers? Are they desirable to use with tube equipment? (I heard this from the seller.) Thanks.
