Anybody know anything about these. I did not buy them. They were odd looking and I was not sure if they were any good. They had very unusual looking drivers. A metal horn in an odd purple cloth surround, and this is in the center of the woofer. But the crossovers did not look like very much. Model 707, A Division Of UTC Corporation, Garden City, New York was printed on a silver label on the back. The front, and backs were made of plywood, and veneer on the tops, and sides. The drivers were nailed in place on the front, and the gold grill covers were nailed in place but one had been removed. They had an increase/decrease knob on the back of them They looked well made, but I could not say for sure, so I passed. I have to much stuff as it is.

Never heard of a factory issue speaker with the drivers nailed(!) in place. Probably not a good sign at all, but would rouse my curiosity simply because its so bad an idea.
