Vacuum tube lot offer price...

Ok, So a guy posted some tubes on the local CL and out of his list I came up with this list of tubes I'm interested in(some NOS and some used):

Does anyone know what I should offer this guy? I was gonna say $125, but don't know if that would even be realistic. Thanks for any help!

Well, I'd say $125 is pretty high for a single, $50 is more like it, but given that there's all those 6BQ5s, and Tele 12AT7s in there besides the 3 Tele 12AX7s, $125 would be quite the steal.

As always, I'd try to get him to make the first move; if he doesn't say anything, then you could tell him you usually pay a buck or two for tubes and see what he says. Heck, if you have to buy the whole lot for a buck or two apiece, you'd probably be OK up to a couple hundred bucks or so.

What would you you guy's offer him, just for the tubes I listed in the first post?

There's a LOT of really desirable tubes in that batch...6JB6A, 6JS6C, 6LB6, 6LQ6...all sweep tubes that can bring surprising $$ from ham operators. You DO need rectifiers, don't you? 5Y3 variants, 5R4GA...very useful. That wad of 6146Ws is nice...they're ruggedized mil-spec versions of a desirable ham tube. I wish a bach like that would show up in my neck of the woods...I'd be all over it. Offer a hunski for the ones you want...or roll the dice and see if he'd take $250 for the whole batch. Pretty sure you'd end up with the ones you want and a profit besides.

Ok, I'll offer $250 for the whole lot of tubes. He isn't giving me a call back now though. I talked to him yesterday and he said I could come by around 9pm, but when I called him back, his phone was busy. It stayed busy as long as I tried to call back. And he stopped responding to my e-mail's since last night. Hopefully I get a call soon. I NEED at least the 6AN8A's to get the MK III's running. I ordered a Sovtek GZ34/5AR4 and should have it in a day or two.

First, I'll say that I have no need or use for tubes at all.

But I'm guessing that since that lot has been for sale for two weeks and the "good" ones are still available, someone besides me took your hints about where they were, used one of the mega-search gizmos for CL, and found the listing. (it only took me about 45 seconds) Not that I think anyone here would back-door a deal like that, but you never know who reads posts.
