Vancouver BC repair shop recommendation

Hello AK and all members,

I am looking to have a dead in the water Kenwood 700M and a 700C given the once over.
Can anyone recommend a repair shop in Vancouver or even Victoria BC?
I have read a few testimonials about Minsoo at Pure Sound but they are not very recent.

There is a guy here in Victoria who is supposed to be a wizard on gear, at least tube stuff I think. Dave might be his name? Sound Hounds should be able to put you in touch with him or someone capable.

I've dropped off some gear at Innovative Audio in Surrey. They seem okay and was recommended when I asked on CAM.

@Montycat does some repairs. He would be my first choice.

I also highly recommend Gilbert at Global AV Service at 4352 Fraser Street in Vancouver. His number is 604 662-3868. He was recommended to me by Mark at The Sound Room.

Gilbert has repaired Audio Research and Macintosh gear for me. I think he does warranty work for ARC and maybe Macintosh as well.

Could be. I wasn't aware he passed.

He likely isn't either, things change for the good or bad when the owner passes having dealt with Van sp clinic prior and after his passing
I'd still use them today. The original owner was shall we say 1 of a kind.
