I'm interested in getting a pair of Vandersteens without spending a lot. Currently looking at a pair of Model 2Bs with newly re-foamed mids, woofers and passive drivers. The seller is also willing to ship for a reasonable price, which is a big deal for me as most any speakers I see are far away and offered with local pick up only.
He wants $500. I'm not so concerned about $100 either way but am wondering if I should wait and spend another few hundred to get a more recent model -- probably more like $1,000 to $1,200 --and again hope the seller is willing to ship.
Also, a local guy has a pair of DCM Time Window 3s. Should I give those any consideration? I'm not suggesting they are comparable -- just asking.
Thoughts?
