Vandersteen speakers

[EVBoy]

There is a pair of Vandersteen 1c speakers for sale near me. Are they good speakers? Do they need to be refoamed? Is Vandersteen still in business?

[W9TR]

They are very nice speakers. The woofers have rubber surrounds so should not need re-foaming. Vandersteen is still in business.

Vandersteen makes nice American-made speakers - the 1 series is the lowest price speaker in the Vandersteen line.
The current version is the 1C plus. Vandersteen Model 1Ci+ | Vandersteen Audio

I've had a couple variations of the Vandersteen 2 series (2CE, 2CI, etc) and been very pleased with them.
They add extra letters and suffixes when they update the speakers every couple years.

I have some 1C's and they are some of the best speakers I've owned.
