Victor ql-55 Straight and S-pipes tonearm - Effective mass

Hi comrades!

Im have some trouble with understanding what pipes of tonearm i can use with my
cartridges.

Turntable - Victor QL-Y55F Q-dapming works
Straight pipe - PH100Y
S-pipe - PH300Y + shell Victor PH-8 (Want to buy it)

Cartridges:
Shure M95HE (Orig stylus)
AT VM35 (Orig stylus)

So, website vinylengine have calculator of compliance of cartridge and effective mass..
I want to use S pipe, is it simply to change cartridges etc.. But if i right understand my cartridges is high compliance and i must use it with straight pipe PH-100Y. I do it know. But wha about S- pipe? I must use it with compliance 5-10? Buy fo expample Denon 103?

On the other side Victor have Q-damping and maybe it ok use high compliance cartridge with stock S pipe?

In stock cartridge (JVC MC200E) dynamic compliance very low - 8x10-6cm

Wow, our situations are very similar. I just bought that same cartridge for my JVC in the thread dlucy linked. I too am trying to figure out if I should use my straight or curved arm.

According to the manual, the straight arm is for cartridges between 4.5 and 10.5 grams, and the S arm is for 8 to 14 grams. The cartridge is 4.3 grams. So, in theory, the straight arm. In practice, it may not matter much. If you have a test record, you can try both and see if it makes much of a difference.
