Victor TT-81 w/ Two Tonarms

So, I purchased a Victor TT-81 with plinth and dustcover about 4 months ago.There were cut outs for two 12 inch arms with 270 mounting distance.Over the last several months I got some deals on Victor UA-7082 and SAEC 308N Long type.Thinking medium compliance I also got Nagaoka mp-500 and a Grado - Reference Series - Platinum1.MP-500 mounted to SAEC and Grado is on the Victor tonearm.During this period I also sold several TT's and used the proceeds for this purchase.Im very pleased with the way this turned out and both arms and carts sound superb.Trying once again to elevate my vintage Japan TT sickness to another level.(tonearm not tonarm as seen in header).

Scotty very nice setup, JVC motor/plinth and arms are all first class products from when Japan was at it's best and no doubt it sounds superb.

Thanks and BTW I forgot to mention the SAEC 308 Long with the MP-500
seems to be the better of the two combo's to my ears but the Grado/Victor gives you a another vibe that's great in it's own right.

One thing I must do this weekend is move this to the top of my other audio rack.Right now it is sitting on a maple table and it is to low.Once I move it it will be 5 feet off the ground.Need this height to make adjustments ect.. and avoid potential accidents ect....

Yes, a turntable should be at the correct height for operating.:thmbsp:
 
The platform stand/shelf is the foundation that the turntable is built on, it has to be at a comfortable/safe height and be very stable/solid. I'v been useing Target wall shelves for years and they have eliminated all issues with resonance/vibration/feedback.
 
I have also been looking at the Victor UA-7082 and some SAECs as well for a re-plinthing
of a TT101.

Did your arms come from the E bay seller in Japan?

And thats a great looking table you have there.

No not on Ebay.They overcharge there.I got my gear Yahoo Japan.With patience much cheaper.And the dollar is much better against the Yen these days.Been getiing some great deals lately.Those Japan Ebay sellers basically buy there goods on Yahoo Japan and other sights and resell on Ebay I suspect.
