CD6005. I must say your space has me tempted to try out some Kef LS50s, although I don't know if I could survive without the low end.
 
Yeah, I couldn't hence the dual subs. Once you know what's down there it's hard to hear that same song with it suddenly missing.

Im thinking some Kef R700's would probably do the trick, but they're a long way off financially (and a vpi turntable is next on my list anyway)

Thanks, Bill - it was an absolute blast to put together - I miss it SO much! The budget for my new space will be much lower - your setup is actually very close to what I'm aiming for right now! I think I'll post that part of the conversation over in the LS50 thread :)
 
My Saturday afternoon experiment...mom & kids are at the grocery store...here's Kind of Blue (HD Tracks Stereo) on the four different setups in the house. I wanted to try and capture the differences in sound of both the systems and the rooms. Initially I was going to just do a minute and go through each setup so that by the end you'd be 4 minutes into the song. I chose to just do the same 2 minutes on each setup.

I've learned that I:
Need a better microphone.
Need to work on my videography skills.
Need to figure out how to get better quality on YouTube.
Anyway, here goes nuttin':

about 4:50 into this 9 min video is somewhat of a room tour. 1st half is about the PC I had digital storm put together for me.
