Vincent SA-31 Pre-Amp and phono

Dont know what receiver you have, but from the preamp out to the tape input on the receiver..both volume knobs should still be active, so you may need adjust one accordingly. Also try the record out, to one of the aux inputs on the receiver....this may by-pass the volume on pre. That's a very nice preamp....at $1700 retail, you should look for the matching amp. makes for a nice set up.
 
I'd also stay away from Gold Sound, Kermit, just based on the fact that they didn't even know what they were selling you. The fact that the majority of Vincent gear is either tube hybrid or pure tube has been common knowledge from the get-go.
