Vintage C28 Volume Pot

Picked up this gently used Alps pot on an auction site--supposedly it was used as a volume control on a C26. Currently it has a 47K resistor from the loudness tap to one end of the wafer--is that the Mc approved resistor for a C28 as well?

I went through 2 of the new Canadian Mc pots about a year or 2 ago and both tracked poorly--hence the vintage pot. Looks like it's a linear taper, I'm assuming they attempted to convert the taper closer to audio with the resistors, and the loudness tap isn't used on the C26.

Davie O'Brien installed two new pots for me at Mcintosh clinics. He told me Both it and the new C-27and 29 would have the multi stepped precision volume controls after installing the second hand selected pot. The new C-29 would be shipping in a few weeks and I should get my name on the list as the first run has almost all been pre-sold. I walked over to our Distributor and gave him a check and asked him to order me one that day. I had the C-29 for close to 28 years with out any issues. I got the 77th one built. I traded it for a C-34 as I wanted the separate record selector, the processor loop circuits, and the graphic tone controls the C-29 didn't have and the ability to handle three tape machines. .
