Vintage Czech Turntables - which to get?

Don't be a nut case it's a joke and it was very easy to misinterpret your words as a general insult towards half the planet in the first place. I'm not trolling this thread. It's been quite informative, probably for you too, so stay on topic or leave. If you can't take the heat don't turn on the heating.
Already reported your ''jokes''!
''Informative'' doesn't mean to use spitting language on anything or anyone.
and no, I won't leave because of you!

Jadran , when was produced that DD ? Was ita longer time in production or just prototype ?

During my ten year tour of duty in Germany (man, did I ever milk that out), I frequently went to Progue in the spring and to it's many festivals during the year and it seemed that anything these people used during Soviet Occupation was priced based upon sentiment and past experiences. So, if you have to have an eastern TT get ready to drop a bundle.

Yup. Really!

You should come here and criticize GE all day long. See if we give a ****. Heck, I criticize Microsoft for a living. Just don't call people silly. This is not the Netherlands. We own guns. Lots. ;)
As you have traveled and lived abroad you should know better.
Communicating with people in a language that is not their mother tongue can easily lead to misunderstandings and interpretations. To do this over the internet on a message board adds another level of difficulty. Now to introduce critique, that comes across as criticism or perhaps belittling of a nation, then - tongue in cheek, or not - introduce the potential threat of firearms, is a recipe for chaos.

The question in the thread is to recommend any suitable turntables, NOT to have a field day taking pot-shots at what you found unsatisfactory. If you have no positive recommendations from your experience then that is all you need say as a responsible comment.

Beag & Mechlabor broadcast models look very interesting, though they are from Hungary not Czech. Never heard one and no idea how they perform, but they look like serious pieces of gear.

While Tesla might not be the end all of when it comes to building turntables, how many factories are there left in the world who can say they have been building turntables for as long as they have?
