Yes. I couldn't agree anymore. I had a fellow who phoned me about a Pioneer SX-1050 I listed on CL indicating he had always wanted one as a teenager ect., but could never afford ect. Comes over to look at it and I sell at a bargain figuring I'd spread some good karma and help someone. Turns out a week later my unit is listed on a local audio vendors web page for sale at much higher price. Now its really none of my business what someone does with a piece of gear after they purchase it from me, but I'll be damned when I'm lied to. I guess some people rely on dishonesty to run a business. I prefer integrity.

You single, slobbish fat bastards with an endless supply of funds in your bank account. You purchase and hoard fantastic, expensive, vintage electronic equipment and HOARD it in your basements or filthy apartments because you MUST have it all and you are greedy. If you are one of these people, please STOP now. Why should you be allowed to HOARD all this fantastic stuff, in your filthy apartment, where NO ONE but you can enjoy it? It would be much better suited at MY place, where it would be used, cared for properly and ENJOYED. You know that you will be on that show HOARDERS one day. So, if you are one of these people, please contact me and sell me your fantastic items. You are probably sitting there, using some great McIntosh amp for a coffee table, eating a hamburger over it and ruining the poor amp. Amps are not to be used for greedy people eating hamburgers. Please STOP. Also, you probably have great speakers, large expensive ones. Sell them to me before they meet the same fate as your amps and other vintage electronics that have become USELESS to you because you have too many, you can't get up off the lazy chair anymore and you have no intention of using them. Ever. Reel to Reels? Don't spill pop on them. Electronics do not have STOMACHS and do not need FOOD. It's disgusting. Stop. Please stop now and contact me, and quit being greedy. At once. You are already collecting something. Fat cells. Contact me.

I don't necessarily think he's pissed. Maybe he's read some of our threads and just has a sarcastic sense of humor. Please know I don't mean to pick on the "collectors" here. If you want shelves full of gear, that's your business. Personally, I don't have the space, the money or the desire to accumulate gear collections like many do. I can see how some find it hard to relate to. I don't know the guy so I can't really say where he was coming from. Maybe he's missed out on some pieces he wanted as a collector or maybe he's just a bitter flipper. I did get a chuckle out of it though.

If I had a collection like this, I'd have to spread the music (and good karma) as best I could. Post#3. No offense meant to the poster. It's quite a collection.

+1 ..it's the the biggest collection that I have seen too. There are definitely some rare gems there. I'd likely sell off some of the not so rare stuff and use the money to restore the better gear. It would be fun to help a few youngsters get started in the hobby too if they showed an interest. My son enjoys music and audio a lot but most of his buddies are gamers.
 
Hmmm, good entertainment. I just noticed that if you take the "w'' out of my name (Howard), it becomes "Hoard"'....I'm sure it means nothing.
 
We'll, he either sounds jealous to me or even lazy. As the saying goes the early bird gets the worm. I'm neither rich, have a huge bank account or even fat, but I do find good deals. Patience is the key.
