If you had a choice of mint original vintage manual @ $26 or a repro @ $13, which would you choose?
I've gotten repro mnls where the schematics/component locators were near impossible to read. But an orig @ nearly half what I gave for the amp? Descisions descions.

It has been said that Rick at stereomanuals.com produces a very fine copy that is legible. So if you need a copy instead of the highly desired original, if they have it you will be able to read it.

As a collector the original is the one. As a hobbyist anything will work. As a reseller an original is better but it will not double the price of the unit in most cases.

Ive had real good luck with repro's by this outfit. In my opinion better than original. vintageaudiomanuals.com :thmbsp:

I vote for originals. Reproductions are mostly greyscale (e.g. double layer PCBs are hard to read). Moreover the pages with the schematics, if larger than A3, are distributed on several pages or in reduced size.
Compare the attached pictures of the same manual one from the original, the other from a reproduction (of a reputable source :) )

I just got a repro owners and service manual for my Accuphase E-202 from Rick at stereomanuals.com. Excellent in every respect all text/diagrams are clean, legible and full size. Originals are nice if in great condition, but you can't go wrong with professional scans as a reference and/or if you just need to get the job done.
