Vintage receiver paired with new bookshelf speakers

Hi everyone. I have a Sansui 3300 receiver. Its specifications state that it can handle 6 ohm loads when driving 4 speakers, but 8 ohms normal load with 2 speakers. For now, I'm moving the Sansui into the garage and want some smaller bookshelf speakers to go along with it. I have looked at the various offerings from Pioneer (SP-BS22-LR), Kanto, and Micca, but all three state they go down to 6 ohms. Do you perceive any issues running 6-8 ohm speakers with my vintage Sansui?

I have read through a lot of the impedance related posts on the forums. I generally understand to keep volumes low and such, but I was hoping someone had some experience with a similar setup. Thanks!

Your Sansui is more capable of handling 6 Ohm loads than a lot of newer gear. It's really a non-issue.

If your receiver can handle 6 ohm loads for 4 speakers, it can definitely handle 6 ohm loads for 2 speakers. You should be able to crank it no problem (within the tolerances of both the receiver and the speakers of course).

Psst. Highly recommend the Infinity Primus P163 speakers. I have them in the garage paired with my Sony 7055A. Weighing in at 15lbs with 90db sensitivity, 8ohm & 6 1/2 woofer. It's also an excellent sounding speaker!
