Vintage Receiver + Speaker Combo Suggestion

Hello,

Still newish to posting here so my apologies if I break the rules or post in the wrong place. I have recently acquired a General Electric C460g and a pair of Pioneer CS-G911. I haven’t been able to find the specs on either of these at all. Does anyone have any info at all? Maybe a manual? Can the receiver power these beasts? Any advice is welcomed.

My search shows that the GE is a table top clock radio. Is this correct?

Dunno what to tell you but when I searched on "General Electric C460g", I got what I posted. Nothing about a receiver. I did see a few ebay listings for what you describe but no information.

Back to your original question, yes, you can connect the receiver to the speakers and see how they sound. It won't hurt anything but depending on the speaker efficiency, it might sound great or terrible. You'll just have to try it.

Thanks guys, must be uncommon if the internet doesn’t have anything on it right? I hooked one up and they sound decent but the bass is lacking.

The speakers connect to the receiver via speaker wire + rca connector. How can you tell if it is in phase then? Would it sound different with only one connected?

Post a picture of the back of the receiver. If it has RCA connectors you'll need to get speaker cables with RCA connectors on one end, but let's see what else is there.

It looks pretty low end, so I wouldn't expect much from it, but shouldn't have a problem with those speakers.
