Hey guys, I ran across a Pioneer silver-faced CD player (can't recall the model number, but it was one of their first) at the local DAV thrift. They had $10 on it, but it wouldn't read a CD. Occasionally it'd pop up a time of 40-something minutes and 13 tracks, which was incorrect for the disk that was in it. How much of a problem is this one going to be to revive it? I didn't get it for fear that it was a laser diode issue. Not having experience with Pioneer players I didn't chance it. What would you do?

I grabbed my P-D70 off craigslist. It was listed with some crummy silver faced Pioneer gear of the same era. They had it in the bottom picture and everyone missed it.... but me. I picked it up two days later. It made up for the P-D70 I had to sell when I was injured and off work. It works flawlessly.

I just picked up a Carver DTL-50 CD player that is dated March 1986. It is silver but not the bright silver. It is a bit darker (pewter) finish. Very nice looking unit. Does anyone know anything about this player. I can't seem to find much information. There is a light up button for DTL (digital time lens). What does this do? Any thoughts? Thanks.
