The preamp is a no brainer - grab it. I wonder if the Mitsubishi is just the meter or has the power amp attached. If the seller is not somewhat knowledgeable he may have missed it.

I do not know the Sony tuner. It is a later model but for the most part Sony did tuners pretty well.

That looks like a TA-2000 preamp, one with a walnut cab sold for $295 on fleabay. Looks to be very well made.

Well, I made an offer on the preamp and power meter. I'll be meeting up later. I'll keep you guys updated. Hopefully, there's an amp attached to the meter :yes:

that kills the deal.

i just had something similar happen on a pair of epi 100w speakers. seller advertised them at $40, and i offered to paypal him that, and pick them up monday. he wrote back and said he'd take $50 to hold them until monday; i wrote and said nope, not worth it to me, if he wanted to sell them to me they'd be for what he advertised. he wrote back and said fine, he'd hold them until monday...

hopefully they will be there when i go to pick them up!!
