Vintage Sony Speakers - Opinions?

So I browse my local classifieds often and today I saw there were two listings for some vintage 1970's Sony speakers, the SS range. One is a pair of SS-970's and the other is a pair of SS-2250's. There is a webpage about the SS-2250's in japanese that can be read here: https://audio-heritage.jp/SONY-ESPRIT/speaker/ss-2250.html

The SS-970's on the other hand I can find absolutely no info about, other than an imgur photoset of someone who says they are very good and outshone his original advents, which is quite a compliment

Does anyone else have experience with this vintage of Sony speakers? Could I have stumbled on a hidden gem? I am very tempted to grab one of them, the SS-970's in particular seem pretty nice. Would love to hear anyone who has owned these speakers or similar sony vintage.

Those 970s do look nice! I like them better than the 2250s. But if the ones you are looking at have the blue woofer cones, those may be the ones on CAM with the replaced woofers. That being said, I gave my step daughter a nice set of large Sony Carbocon speakers and they sound amazingly good!
