Not mine. Sure looks pretty. Wonder if it's same guy selling Pioneer 1050, 707... When I click other ads by this seller it does not show so maybe not.

Agree with the Dr. on price, but it sure does look to be in pristine condition.

And it is the same seller, or I should say both listings are from the same house. The CL Google map shown for each listing shows the exact point on Elm Place just north of Maple Avenue in Lancaster.

I think it's worth it considering it came from a single owner and the present owner has been using it as opposed to something that was found at a garage/estate sale and being sold by someone who has absolutely no clue about how turntables work - those are the ones that usually go for cheaper but they don't look nearly as good and you have to be prepared to rehab the hell out of them.

I'd say realistically the $500 is a good price.

$400 on the left coast. ;)

Meh. The other one looked in superb condition and had a reassuring backstory. This one uses the dreaded phrase 'works great', which along with 'works good' and just plain 'works' make me very skeptical. Add the 'classic' line as a closer and what you have is someone who probably does now know anything about the table who took a few minutes to google to get some info including going prices on ebay.

I wouldn't pay unless they gave me the full scoop.

I'd take the $100 discount and negotiate for another $50 off, notwithstanding any cartridges there were. However, even these prices are sometimes high depending on what's out there and the market you're in, and how badly you want it.

Since the vast majority of these tables can be cleaned up and restored fairly easily, unless there is significant cosmetic damage, or one is not inclined to work on the tables, then either one saves some money and spends it on some DIY work, or spends the money to get the best example they can find.

Of course, shipping (if possible) introduces another major variable - that's why local purchase is so important.

td 145 pricing for symphony sale.

I'm supporting a local symphony by helping to sell audio equipment at their annual vinyl sale.
what is a good price for a Thorens TD 145 with a good M95ED in perfect working order in almost perfect cosmetic shape? From a very good home i suspect.
