so i just start a new thread in turntables, etc. asking what's a good starter tt, and just for giggles i take a look in craigslist to see what i can find...gee, here's a pretty good start at a collection...

$500 is a lot for a crapshoot; some of that stuff may not be worth 40.50/lb! :yes:
You need to look at them for what the titles are and then for condition. The signatures could be cool, but it depends who they are. Thrifts are full of beat up LPs.

conditon, condition, condition. If they are in NM shape you can always keep the ones you want and sell the others in smaller batches for a little more money. Kind of like getting the one you want for free.

I have now bought three collections and with trading off the ones I don't want am averaging less than .25 per album. Keeping all NM copies. I've found some great stuff buying in lots. I also hit the thrifts on a regular basis adding about 10 a week from my huntings there.
