It wasn’t for me I didn’t have the patience. I did see improvement on a couple of records but not much. Maybe I wasn’t doing it right or like I mention I didn’t have the patience. I ended up getting a Periphery Ring to help play my warped records and wish I would have done that sooner. I do see potential in the VinylFlat but you have to be patient if you don’t want to ruin your record.

That's fine and dandy if you bought it new from Amazon. Not always the case for me. Some of my purchases come from Europe and South America, shipping alone makes it cost prohibitive.
I've gotten so good at it that I flatten any record that has even the slightest warp, even if it plays fine. I just like 'em better when they are flat.

Well, you can always try the 2 plates of glass and your oven. The results are not easily predictable.

Early on in this thread I posted a link to a thread about the glass. It's easy, the only caution is the temperature. It has to stay in the 130's. I've done about a dozen and have 100% success rate. It's tricky getting the oven RIGHT where you need it, but after that you just turn it off and go hit it with the gun every 20 minutes or so. If it's low, turn the oven on for 30 seconds. Really is a breeze once you get it down, you can do it while watching a movie.

Did you sell your VinylFlat?
 
I have had the Vinyl Flat for a couple years now and have saved a dozen or so records. I have also fried 2 in the process, there are so many variables here, location of warp, weight of the record, cooking time etc. The little sharp edge warps I have found to be very difficult to fix. I use one of those plug in timers and let them cook for no longer than 6 hours at a time. Let site for at least the same amount of time and then check, if still not to my liking I will flip the record and go another 6 hours. I run my pouch on medium which topped out at 134* upon testing with the supplied thermometer. The 2 I over cooked were in the beginning when I still getting used to it, left one in for 10 hrs. It wasn't completely ruined but the first track has a 1/3 of a revolution of molten vinyl and the grooves are now damaged...still plays through though, it was this one; Little Beaver ‎– Party Down :(
 
I have a record I love that has a big bump near the edge. Strangely it is bigger on one side than on the other.

If I ever get it flattened, I'm going to take it out and have it welded.
