About the only place left is Ameoba Records in Hollywood. You can easily spend a few hours checking out everything in that place.

I don't know if they're still open, but I used to go to Moby Disc in East Pasadena -- near/North of San Marino. There were a number of used vinyl/record shops in Pasadena. Great used bookstore too. But that was in '96--'98.

Ameoba is a wonder -- well worth going to.

Wow,I just looked up the Ameoba website. That looks like the place! And its not very far from my hotel.Ive got a line on some speakers,so I might just go to Ameoba on Saturday night before I take in a movie at the Cinerama Dome.
I grew up in L.A.,and I remember Moby Disc on Ventura, but do they even do vinyl anymore?
Thanks,guys!

I just got back from L.A.I got there a few hours before my sister got off work,so I figured I could kill some time at Ameoba.Uh,yeah, just a little bit. That place is awesome. And the prices arent that bad, espescially for new vinyl, and imported.I ended up spending so much, that the girl behind the counter said "Ill give you a free bag".And Im thinking, could you spare it.but she meant a nice canvas bag.I could have spent every cent I brought in that place. Thanks for the info, guys.
