This is one speaker that I would love to own, based upon what I've read. The price seems like a good deal. Since VMPS is still in business, and repairs or upgrades are not a problem.

Not mine, no affil.

Very nice, yet Kabuki-ish. I have heard that the newer ones sound nice, but not sure on the older models though.

Someone needs to buy these speakers. The price is quite reasonable for that model. VMPS has always been a boutique speaker manufacturer, so they rarely achieve mainstream status. But they have quite a number of extremely loyal fans. And there products are still supported, with an active forum on another audio website. Ask questions and you might get a call or an e-mail from the guy who built these 25 years ago.

If like other VMPS towers, they are extremely efficient (~ 100 dB) and yet can handle all sorts of power. They may need refoaming, especially the passive radiator (although the pictures of the speakers look quite decent).

If nothing else, go take a listen. If you haven't heard vintage VMPS you'll be very pleasantly surprised.
