VMPS subwoofer driver blown

I picked up a VMPS Tall Boy with a 1000Watt Dayton Audio amp. If sounded awesome but I think the amp is too much power for it and I've blown at least one of the drivers as it pops really badly and is getting worse. Are these drivers fixable and worth fixing? Again, I'm not sure yet if it's the 12" or 15" or both. Any recommendations on who to send the driver(s) to for repair or a great replacement driver if that may be a better option? Also, recommendation on subwoofer amplifier that is 600 Watts as I don't want to blow it again.

Anyone know where to get VMPS Megawoofers? I think they'd be worth the upgrade if I could find some

Nevermind, wood top of cabinet was loose and making the noise, not the drivers. Phew. If anyone knows of a good source for Mega Woofers, I'd be interested though

Keep this guys number on file I think his name is Shoukat he is hard to understand with his accent but a smart helpful guy 805-501-9374.
Another great guy is John at 310-446-0138. He is selling off inventory for Brian's widow.
File these numbers, since Brian died info is harder to come by. Cheers

The 12" Megawoofers are no longer available. The parts were custom ordered by Brian, and the woofers custom manufactured for Brian; probably by Misco.
And unfortunately, Misco no longer manufactures a woven carbon fiber 12" or 15" woofer.

Also, Brian was using Goldwood heavy duty woofers in several designs. They may be the only alternative, for a new woofer, other than watching eBay for used parts:
