Hey y'all, the other day I put in a new system in my truck. For some reason, it sounds like one of my 4x6's is making some weird sounds when I crank up the volume. It sounds like it's making a buzzing noise and is distorted at high volumes; almost like it can't handle highs.
I would like to note that I had to drill out different holes to mount them in my dash, they wouldn't line up to the original screw holes. Also I just hooked them up to the back of my head unit. I want to use my amp for my subs, which I'll install later on. It's a Crunch 1000.4 (1000 Watts.)
Did I install them wrong? Got a lemon? Need to lower highs? I don't know, but I would like some input. I doubt a brand like Hifonics would sound like this right out of the box.
My Setup:
2002 Chevrolet S10 Extended Cab
-Hifonics ZS46CX (4x6) 2-Way Speakers in the dash
-Hifonics ZS653 (6.5) 3-Way Speakers in the doors
-Sony CDX-G1200U Head Unit, 10 Band adjustable
