Looking to upgrade my current bookshelf speakers. Right now I have Reference Audio R50S. Speakers are to be used as 2 channel setup (plus subwoofer if needed) hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V870 receiver. Used only for music (primarily records) in a small office/music room. Below are my current options.

Klipsch KSB 2.1 for $100
Polk Audio R150 for $100
PSB 50MKII for $125
Mission 772 for $150
Mission Cyrus 781 for $125
Polk Audio TSi200 for $100
Tannoy E11 for $80
psb Image B4 for $100
Polk Audio rti6 for $150

Or...the ultimate, yet more expensive option are KEF Q100 with Q200C centre for $500

Are any of these great deals for the price? Or, should I keep looking?

If possible, go LISTEN to them with some of your favorite CDs or albums - see what YOU think of them.
A great deal is only a deal if you LIKE them!

If your budget is $500 then there are a plethora of options, even series 1 Klipsch Heresys.

For a more modern suggestion I'm really liking the Jamo C103's purchased last yr. These retailed for $1800 but due to some crazy sales on Amazon last yr they still show up within your price range from time to time from flippers on eBay.

Check out the reviews, these are serious speakers. Some will mention these are large speakers, and I guess they would be if you've only owned tiny speaks as are so common today.

But to me any speaker that requires a stand isn't a large speaker. That said, they sound absolutely huge once broken-in, about 100hrs, before that kind of in your face lol. So if you audition them be sure they've been properly broken-in or you'll walk away disappointed.

Agree about liking them. Unfortunately, the speakers are all from different sellers. So, I can't really go test them all out. Guess I'm wondering...where do I start first?

Thank you! From what I've read after seeing your post, the C103's look great. I'll keep my eyes open for deals as you suggested. Although the KEFs are for $500, the person selling is willing to split the Q100's for $250 and Q200c's for $300....which is more along my budget.
 
So my search for new speakers is down to two options....

Celestion DL8 Series 2 Speakers for around $120 CAD. These come with stands, but more than likely won't use them as I'll put the speakers on a shelf at ear level.

Polk Audio TSi200 for $80 CAD.

If you knew what these Jamos were selling for when I picked mine up you'd be sick lol.

To give you an idea, the C-109 originally listed for $6500/pair, reduced to $4500/pair, but during the sales $398/pair lol. That's right, $398, one member here grabbed a pair in white at that price.

I had a pair in my cart but no use for the white so cancelled the order. But I was lucky enough in two different sales to nab 5 pair of the C-103's in black, 4 pair sold off the gentlemen in Australia. Now kicking myself for not holding on to at least a second pair, but oh well.
 
Prices seem fine as long as the condition is excellent. There are plenty of reviews out there on the google for both of those speakers.
