Want to use Bose 901 series IV on B speaker out and Bose 901 Series V on A speaker out.

I want to use Bose 901 series IV on B speaker out and Bose 901 Series V on A speaker out. I have both Bose eq devices. Does anyone know how to achive this? I will be driving them with a Marantz 2330, 185 watt receiver/amplifier.

If you have both tape monitor loops available you can connect one EQ to each. Connect both pairs of 901s. Switch between tape mon 1 and 2 while playing the A pair and see if you hear a difference. Even if you do it might be trivial. Repeat with B pair if you like, but results would likely be similar.

If the EQs sound about the same, leave either one connected and use it for both A and B pairs. Assuming both pair are rated 8 ohms, you can play them together.

The low impedance combined with the eq's aggressive curve can put a strain on your amp.

Keep an eye on the temperature of the amp.

The best way to do it is to run 2 amplifiers one with the series 4 eq,one with series 5 eq then just split the source. Just out of interest what is the resistance of your speakers ? l measured mine and they were only 6 ohms.
