Warner Bros. Loss Leaders

Anybody else love these 70's compilation albums? I have 9 or 10 of them and really enjoy the eclectic mix of artists they showcase. Been spinning The 1969 Warner Reprise Songbook this morning. :thmbsp: Sure wish they were still $2.

I picked up the 4 records set of Superstars of the 70's at my local SA a few weeks ago. The sleeves were shot but the records were in good shape. Much of my introduction to the world of classic rock came from this warner comp. Good stuff!

They are great, I have a bunch of them from back in the day…Was my introduction to Jesse Winchester, and some more obscure stuff by Hendrix, Tull, Arlo Guthrie, etc… I have that Superstars of the 70's set, too - very good compilation!

I've been looking for a copy of the warner "Heavy Metal" comp. This was another one that I grew up. Been hoping to find one at the SA for quite awhile now. I could probably look on fleabay but I would probably pay more than its really worth.
