Waterproof Connector

This is the best place I could think of to put this question.

I am working on a project and I need the smallest 2 lead waterproof connector that I can get.

I need a panel mount jack and plug.
I was thinking a 2.5mm stereo jack (use tip and ring only, isolates circuit from the enclosure) but i cannot find anything that is waterproof or at least water resistant.

I even thought about a 3.5mm / 1/8" jack but couldnt find anyhting that would suit. I will use one if need be since its easy to get.

Any ideas on what else I could use or where to get a water proof headphone connector. This will be something that is not submerged in water but could be exposed to water and rain for short periods.

If you can't find any good source for this you may consider using a small tube of some sort to isolate it from the inside of the enclosure.

use a high quality plated jack and you should be good to go.

Will it get wet when in use? can you just install an oring or something around the mount for the jack to shield from water splash? Or can you get a small rubber plug (like they used to have on the old yellow sony walkmans) to shove in the hole.

The jack is going to be panel mount and I was going to use silicone on the back side to keep the water out.

I am probably just being over cautious with this. It could get splashed or rained on. I guess unless water gets into the connector itself with the jack and plug I should be ok.
