Im headed through that area this AM. I doubt there will be any good deals, it's pretty uppity around there, huge lake homes etc. But worth a check. What are the ADS worth?

Holy crap! That's about 6 miles from my house. Better hitch up the horse to the wagon and head over there for a look see. :D

I got to this sale around noon today (FRI) and the turntables were already sold and gone. Same with the KLIPSCH KG4 speakers.

The ADS speakers were still there. They were the vinyl "veneer" styles cabinets in good shape. The asking price was $100 for the pair.

There were a number of CD changers (I laughed out loud when I saw the SONY model was the exact same model I already own) and a couple of flat screen TVs. I passed on all of those.

I found the software CD for a HARMONY REMOTE CONTROL in amongst the music CDs. I asked if they had the remote itself somewhere. They showed it to me at the jewelry display tables. Asking price was $50.

It was obvious the homeowners were into classical music big time - they had a grand piano and a German made harpsichord for sale. Lots of LPs and some CDs. There was a single stall garage woodworking workshop with lots of cool tools including some home made planes. I passed on info from the sale to my landlord who does woodworking and furniture making.

Attached are pics of the small items I felt I could afford to add to my collections at home. Some are music related. Anytime I see one of these leather dice cups I snatch 'em up. I also couldn't resist the keychain size "mouth organs". Both of the CDs were sealed.

Thanks for reporting back; glad you found it worth the trip! Looks like a professional musician lived there.

I saw the vinyl ADS speakers too, and passed on them, although they were near perfect. Met a good guy there too, was that you? I'm the guy with the Altecs.

What was the price on that beautiful console? I would have been all over that.

Sorry, I looked all around that piece (easy since all of the stereo gear was gone) and didn't see a price tag.
