WC-122 wood case

Longer screws needed for the wc-122?

I have a beautiful wc-122 3piece suit for my 2252b..... But I need to replace the screws with longer ones to go thru wood.... Right? Or am I missing something?
Any idea on where to get them?
Thanks you your time and help

Interesting that the 122 does not have a screen over the hole in the top of the unit. It is also structurally much weaker because of the thin area above the slots that the top slides into on the side panels. These can break and the what have you got?

If I were going to make a cabinet, it would be the 22 with the holes drilled in the bottom in the correct position for the unit that was going to reside inside or make just the side panels ala Kenwood. These look really nice on the older champagne integrated amps and tuners like the KT-7000/KA-6000 models.
Interesting that structure is mentioned as a concern on something that is purely a cosmetic item. Top and two sides, screwed to sides of component, for "dress-up". It doesn't even touch the shelf, at the bottom. I'm not certain how or why structural integrity, or lack of it, is a problem. It's not like one is going to install one of these, and then stack something on it.

Or, maybe one would.

My kit was NIB and came with longer screws, but I'm sure you could find something serviceable. I have a couple of hardware/fastener sellers in town, that carry darn near everything. If the only thing you can find is "bright", a quick touch-up with a black sharpie would take care of the colour.

2252b with his 3 piece suit

Finished after a quick trip to lowes for longer screw, and head cover,,, fit perfectly.
Thanks for the help:banana:
