My 2 year old Onkyo HT-RC260 tuner/receiver won't play a good full range sound out of the "stereo" fronts (Full-range BICs) when I play my Pioneer PL-500 tt. I've run the tuner thru all sound/speaker options - which, btw, got a nice range of sound from the rear channel bookshelf Polks (when I selected "all channel stereo"). But the BICs up front just sound weak (definitely a lack of bass freq). I then moved the 'table & speaks to an o-o-o-o-l-d Kenwood tuner (1972-ish) and it sounded brilliant! Full, deep range and definitely the range I should expect from the Onkyo with the "stereo" or "direct" (both only produce sound to the front left/right speakers, which I want with the tt). My gut tells me there's something going on with freq. allocation via the Onkyo, but tried, futilely, to get that same full range that my old Kenwood offered. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
